i’ve ignored the criticism of this campaign and i hope you will, too. i think it’s a stunner and the original walt whitman recording gives me chills.

wow. it's been awhile.

but here i am again. i’ve gotten lazy the last oh, year or so, and realized i need to actually do a few things consistently.

the idea of blogs has always been love/hate for me because i don’t feel like i should force myself to write stuff just to write. then readers will just feel that its forced. and when i reread my entries (as i do compulsively and humiliatingly) i remember which ones were spurred from actually being inspired by something and which ones were pure shit.

i’ve kind of missed the blog though. so i’ll do it some more, maybe start a new! one with a new goal in mind for it, and not be so hard on myself to post. it’s dumb to put that pressure on yourself, especially when you have NO readers.

see ya soon.

This is just too good. Dear Gretchen is a book by LA designer Gretchen Nash featuring personal letters that she has kept inside a luggage case since childhood. Now here is the best part… She made sweet paper infographics charting the frequency of different words and topics found in her letters.

I felt old when I noticed that her childhood lexicon included “LOL.” (via Young and Brilliant)
